The farm

Sometimes you just want an easy decaffeinated coffee that just tastes of… well, coffee! This is a blend using Brazilian smallholder farms from the Minas Gerais region, which are then decaffeinated using a chemical method – it uses the mildly scary-sounding methylene-chloride, a solvent which is able to extract caffeine from coffee.

By soaking the beans in water and the solvent multiple times, you end up with a reduction of 97% caffeine – not as high as our Swiss Water Decaffeinated, but still very impressive! This isn’t a speciality decaf, but is perfect for catering scenarios.
